Resilience in Action

When COVID-19 disrupted traditional business and events in 2020, Kingsmen quickly adapted, drawing on lessons from past crises including the Global Financial Crisis, the Asian Financial Crisis, and the SARS epidemic. Teams pivoted operations creatively, supporting urgent needs such as converting SAF camps into temporary housing and collaborating with government partners to ensure safe, liveable facilities. At the same time, Kingsmen accelerated its adoption of digital solutions, pioneering virtual and hybrid event formats that allowed clients to connect with audiences despite physical restrictions.

This period exemplified Kingsmen’s ethos: adversity is an opportunity to innovate. By prioritising client needs and employee well-being, the company not only sustained operations but emerged stronger, ready to seize new opportunities in a rapidly changing world. These experiences underscore how Kingsmen consistently translates its bold, pioneering spirit into tangible outcomes for clients, employees, and communities alike.

Shaping Design Locally and Globally

Kingsmen’s influence extends far beyond its own projects. As a key player in Singapore’s design evolution, the company has helped elevate the global creative experiences sector. Under the leadership of founders Simon and Benedict, and the broader management team, Kingsmen has spearheaded initiatives that shape both the practice and perception of design.

Launched in 2012, SingaPlural remains a flagship platform for fostering dialogue between designers, brands, and the public, encouraging innovation that goes beyond convention and an anchor event of Singapore Design Week. Kingsmen’s expertise is also sought in professional and public forums, including the Singapore Furniture Industries Council, International Design Forum, Society of Interior Designers, Design Business Chamber and Design Singapore Council.
